Eneli Valge
Eneli Valge (b. 1970) is an artist and designer. She received her art education from the Tartu Art School as an artist-designer, and completed her Master of Arts degree from the Estonian Academy of Arts, Faculty of Design, in the Netherlands – Utrecht School of the Arts, in the field of visual arts and design.
A versatile artist, whose works are distinguished by their precision in detail and whose creation is centered on a commitment to time-consuming techniques, contrasting with the fast pace of society. Giving herself the opportunity to delve into subtle nuances. Although her works always have a playful element, they are not superficial – they contain layers, hidden connections and stories that require deeper reflection.
Currently, she mainly works in oil painting, which has two completely different types – paintings of dreamlike empty interiors, where the invisible but perceptible activity of fluidity prevails, and figurative paintings, in which she has approached her work with baroque academic thoroughness, adding pop and kitsch elements.
Her works are in several collections, including the Viinistu Art Museum and PoCo (Pop & Contemporary Art Museum), as well as private collections.
