Urmo Raus

Urmo Raus (1969) studied painting at the National Art Institute of the Estonian SSR in 1989-1991 and entered the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA) in 1991, graduating cum laude in 1996. In the same year, the ENSBA Art Foundation awarded Urmo Raus the Prix de la gravure de la Fondation d’ENSBA, the annual prize for printmaking.

In addition to paintings and prints, Raus has created contemporary vitrals.

Urmo Raus’s work is held in a number of public collections, including the Nederlandse Gasunie, the Art Museum of Estonia, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the Tallinn Art Foundation, the Tartu Art Museum, the Art Foundation of the Bank of Estonia and the Pärnu Museum of Contemporary Art.
